Renaissance and Riviera Bay

Drive east on 83rd Avenue North in northeast St. Petersburg until it becomes Patica Road NE and you’ll find yourself at the entrance to two of St. Petersburg’s most desirable secluded neighborhoods: Renaissance and Riviera Bay. Both contain lovely single-family homes with three to five bedrooms priced between $200,000 and $1.5 million; price depends on whether a home is situated lakefront, overlooking Tampa Bay, on a canal, or non-waterfront.

Water is a defining characteristic of these areas, with some homes having direct access to Tampa Bay (low bridges mean no sailboats) and all homes requiring flood insurance. Weedon Island Nature Preserve is close by; there you can hike, kayak, and canoe in a natural Florida habitat.

All homes date from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, with many being custom builds full of lavish amenities. Residents of these two deed restricted, non-gated neighborhoods enjoy quick access to both downtown St. Petersburg and Tampa when they’re not at home enjoying the peaceful surroundings of homes that vary in architectural styling from Georgia brick to Mediterranean Revival to Ranch.
